Magic Weekend is back and Newcastle plays host to rugby league’s favourite weekend, with six games live on Sky Sports. Cheap Nike Air Max 95 Trainers . Cardiff, Edinburgh and Manchester have all sampled the delights Magic Weekend has to offer and after a hugely successful show at Newcastle, the 12 Super League sides are back at St James’ Park for the 2016 edition.Excited? So are we. To whet your appetite – take a look at some of the Magic Weekend’s magic matches…2007 - Bradford 38-42 Leeds  Jordan Tansey (left) of the Rhinos celebrates with team-mates after scoring the match-winning try in injury time Cast your memories back to 2007 when the Magic Weekend was known as Millennium Magic.Leeds and Bradford walked out for a grandstand finish in Cardiff, ready to renew their Yorkshire rivalries a long way from home. What happened next went down in Super League folklore. The two sides shared 13 tries, Michael Platt scoring twice for the Bulls and Brent Webb grabbing a hat-trick for the Rhinos, but the final minute is the one that sticks out. With Bradford leading 38-36, the clock hit 79, but referee Steve Ganson awarded a penalty to Leeds for offside.Kevin Sinfield lined up 40 metres out on the left touchline and let fly. The kick looked good before falling just short, eventually hitting the bar - but Jordan Tansey followed up and touched down.Despite Tansey being in front of the kicker, the four-pointer was awarded. Cue pandemonium, and a Sinfield cartwheel to boot!2008 - Huddersfield 34-36 Warrington  Stuart Reardon of Warrington is tackled by Eorl Crabtree of Huddersfield The 2008 Magic Weekend saw another 70+ point thriller, but this time it was Huddersfield and Warrington sharing a classic to open the event. The Wolves looked set for a fifth straight Super League defeat, finding themselves 22-6 down at half-time thanks to Huddersfield tries from Michael Lawrence, Luke Robinson, Andy Raleigh and Rod Jensen. After the break, Jensen could have put his side further in front, but dropped the ball with the line beckoning.Cue the Warrington comeback. Four tries in 18 minutes, from Stuart Reardon, Lee Briers and two from Andy Bracek got them in front before another fine individual Briers effort earned the Wolves the two points.2010 - Leeds 34-30 Wakefield Ryan Hall scored in the famous Leeds comeback A move to Edinburgh brought seeded games for the Magic Weekend, but that didn’t stop West Yorkshire rivals Leeds and Wakefield serving up a Murrayfield epic in 2010.John Kear’s side took a chilly Scotland by storm and they certainly caught Leeds cold in the first half. Ben Jeffries and Damien Blanch went over early on, before a host of errors from Leeds handed Wakefield further initiative as they took a commanding 28-10 lead.Leeds struck a late first half blow, Ryan Hall going over in the corner before Chris Clarkson scored just after break. Despite a Jeffries penalty, Leeds took control, Ryan Hall crossing for his second to further close the gap. With just two minutes left on the clock, they completed the comeback, Keith Senior’s break allowing Brent Webb to send over veteran Aussie Danny Buderus for the match winning score.2011 - St Helens 16-16 Wigan When is Magic Weekend on Sky? Magic Weekend is back at St James Park and there are a host of ways to watch it live on Sky Sports. Back to Cardiff for the 2011 version and one of rugby league’s tastiest derbies finally delivered a Magic Weekend classic. It didn’t look that way with 65 minutes gone, though, with Wigan storming into a 16-0 lead, debutant Ryan Hoffman, Harrison Hansen and then George Carmont all going over. But the Saints, having had several tries disallowed, struck back.Jon Wilkin started the recovery, powering over from close range before Tony Puletua crossed soon after.  And when Francis Meli went over in the corner, Jamie Foster had the chance to win it but pulled his conversion wide. Both sides threatened last-gasp drama, Sam Tomkins and Kyle Eastmond missing late drop goals, so all square they finished at 16-all.2011 - Bradford 28-32 LeedsAny fan who stayed for both days in 2011 certainly got value for money. After the Lancashire ding-dong on Saturday, it was Leeds and Bradford’s turn in Sunday’s closer. With previous Magic Weekend history between the pair, there was soon another chapter to add. Mick Potter’s side put in a terrific performance, building a 28-10 lead with 20 minutes left, mainly thanks to Elliott Whitehead’s hat-trick. But Leeds, in what was now their customary Magic Weekend comeback, rallied and upped the tempo.Ben Jones-Bishop scored his second while Kylie Leuluai and Rob Burrow also went over. With Bradford leading 28-26, there was still another twist to come. Two minutes left and Jones-Bishop raced down the wing, sensing a hat-trick opportunity. He fly-hacked through, only to be pulled back by opposite number Gareth Raynor. Upstairs it went and Richard Silverwood took an age to settle the game. But T-R-Y he chose and yet again Leeds snatched victory from the jaws of defeat.2012 – Hull FC 30-32 Hull KR Shannon McDonnell (centre) of Hull KR runs at Tony Martin (left) and Richard Horne (right) of Hull The Hull derby was a regular Magic Weekend highlight, with the two sides playing out some memorable matches. but with Manchester the new setting, the two sets of fans hadn’t seen anything until 2012.A tight first-half saw the Airlie Birds lead 18-12, Brett Seymour, Richard Horne and Willie Manu going in for the black-and-whites while Craig Hall and Shannon McDonnell went over for the Robins.Hull FC extended that lead after the break, Tony Martin crashing over and when Jordan Turner collected Seymour’s kick, the job seemed complete. But Hull KR weren’t in the mood for rolling over as Sam Latus went over first, before Michael Dobson’s converted try got them to within two. With seconds remaining, the points were snatched thanks to a truly special effort. David Hodgson got the ball on his own 30, beat two defenders and raced clear, sending the red-and-white faithful into delirium while FC set off on a miserable trip back up the M62.2012 - Huddersfield 34-38 Salford Adam Sidlow celebrates scoring a try for Salford After the dramatic Saturday events, a few of the more bleary-eyed supporters were treated to a 13-try belter from Huddersfield and Salford, the perfect Sunday hangover cure.Salford hadn’t won in six Super League games, but they edged a bruising first half 22-16, thanks to a Joel Moon double and scores from Sean Gleeson and Jodie Broughton. Two close-range tries from Eorl Crabtree ensured the Giants hit the front but another Broughton effort and a brace from Adam Sidlow gave Salford that 38-34 lead.Late on, Jason Chan broke the line and went clear for the Giants, but his pass went loose and Salford could finally celebrate a memorable victory.2013 - Hull FC 22-16 Hull KRBack in Manchester for 2013 and the Hull fans were hoping for a more relaxed day out than the year before. But nobody could prepare them for what was to come. Magic Moments Super League: The top 10 Magic Weekend moments Hull KR led 10-6 at the break, Greg Eden and Craig Hall cancelling out Richard Whiting’s score. With eight minutes left, Rovers led by 10. A Michael Dobson penalty and an Alex Brown score seemed to have secured the win, but this time it was Hull FC who mustered the comeback spirit.Tom Lineham was first to cross before Kirk Yeaman went over for a try, eventually approved by the video referee. Daniel Holdsworth had the chance to win it there and then with the conversion, but he fired wide and a draw seemed the likely result. But Holdsworth then had a say in the game’s defining moment, his high ball misjudged by Eden. Chris Green collected on the bounce and dived over gleefully, and despite replays showing he was offside, the try was awarded, ensuring Hull FC’s revenge was complete.Watch the Magic Weekend  live on Sky Sports 3 HD and Sky Sports 1 HD. Or watch the game without a contract for £6.99 on NOW TV.  Also See: When is Magic Weekend on Sky? Lee Faker Sang-hyeoks early claim to fame in League of Legends has been dissected time and time again. His professional debut on SK Telecom T1 in 2012, where he managed to solo-kill his lane opponent, propelled him to immediate stardom. It was a highlight reel for the ages: Nidalee, a feline character that can transform into a cougar, lands a spear onto KhaZix, the cockroach hugging his tower for safety. She dives in, transforming into her feline form, crushing the bug in a single burst. Its a play thats so quick, so impressive, that it often needs one or two replays to properly analyze and break down.?Faker was the prodigious newcomer who took the scene by storm. And Kang Ambition Chan-yong -- the cockroach -- was but a stepping stone that jettisoned Faker into the upper echelon of greatness. Look at any story mapping Fakers career trajectory, and youll find Ambition lurking in the background. Like a shadow under the sun, he became the reluctant villain of a well-established narrative.? [Ambition] getting dumped on by Faker and [Ambitions] decline really changed his viewpoint on a lot of things, says Yoonsup Choi, Ambitions former housemate under the MiG org. It crushed his confidence. I think thats why he started playing worse and worse. His mental state got shocked. Its earth-shattering. Its reality-shattering, Choi says.? ?Before Ambition became Ambition, he was called Segimal, which means end of the world in Korean. He played Brand, a pyromaniac entity composed of fire instead of flesh. His friends urged him to use the apocalyptic skin (imagine a morose version of Marvels Ant Man living in a dystopian wasteland), a not-so-subtle nod at his in-game ID.When MiG Blaze formed, players were assigned different roles in the game. It had a butterfly effect that no one couldve imagined, Choi says.Five players ranked the positions they wanted to play. At the time, League of Legends was a game in its infancy, so players were unlikely to specialize. Ambition was a highly adept AD Carry player, but someone already filled that role.Although mid lane wasnt necessarily his forte, Ambition slowly ascended to the top before Faker entered the picture. The mid lane was fast-paced and highly mechanical. If you werent moving, then you were falling behind. Outside the occasional short-lived career renaissance, it seemed like Ambition was stuck in a state of stasis, and retirement was all but inevitable for him.?But then, he did something inexplicable.?He decided to become a jungler.??His personality is very cold. Edgy, Choi says. Sort of like it gives you a Sasuke vibe.?Sasuke -- an animated character from the Japanese show Naruto -- is the archetypical byproduct of tragedy and suffering.? He exhales anger and vengeance in every line, and his only connection to the real world wavers on a thin thread of friendship. Hes highly-intelligent, driven and adept, but his fatal flaws stifle him from reconciling with reality: cold, brooding and un-empathetic.?One thing you have to know about Ambition is this kid has grit, says Choi. He wants to win. He has a winners arrogance, a winners confidence. Like, Im going to beat you. Im going to work so hard until Im better than you.?Ambitions journey in the jungle wasnt easy. It seemed like, despite all his self-assurance, he was outstaying his welcome in the professional league. He couldve become a coach, or even an analyst. He couldve stepped away from the spotlight, relieving a precious professional spot to a hopeful young prospect. Instead, he left CJ Entus and joined Samsung Galaxy, which gave him the chance to reset.?Samsung Galaxys legacy fell to the dust afteer 2014, where their World Championship roster disbanded for greener pastures in China. Air Max 95 Cheap. . 2015 was a time for them to rebuild, and 2016 saw a team of young players with potential who needed guidance and leadership. It took a while, but after the Spring Season wrapped up, it seemed like something finally clicked. And Ambitions transformation from the cocky upstart in the mid lane to a seasoned veteran in the jungle carried him all the way to the League of Legends World Championship Finals against SK Telecom T1.?It doesnt surprise me he found success in the jungle role, says Choi. Whatever role he switches to, Id imagine hed find success. ?The air hung thick and heavy in Los Angeles three weeks ago in advance of the League of Legends World Championships final at Staples Center. Sun-kissed cosplayers perused the street outside Staples -- congested with big white tents filled with fantastical League of Legends memorabilia.Black Team SoloMid jerseys filled up the entryway of the arena. Like blips on a radar, SKTs red jackets were sprinkled in.Tables by the walkway were set up with posters. There was a pile of red markers sitting in one corner of the table, dried out from overuse. Most fans were drawing signs for SK Telecom T1, the most dynastic team in League of Legends history. There was a smaller subsection of fans making posters for CoreJJ, a Korean player on Samsung who had a brief stint in North Americas regional league. The last hope of North America, fans wrote. From that subsection, an even smaller group drew Samsung Galaxy posters.Ambitions name was missing from sight.?The boys in red from SK Telecom T1 looked like polished veterans in front of the camera: Fakers determined gaze. Bangs finger-guns. Wolfs signature rockstar hand gesture. Their poses were met with hot red fireworks and deafening fanfare. On the other end of the stage, Ambition looked uncharacteristically meek. He spared a sheepish smile, waving to the crowd. The look on his face said it all: Am I really here? There were no fireworks for Samsung.SK Telecom T1 took the first two games in dominating fashion, and the series looked like a surefire sweep. Some fans began to filter out the stadium, leaving sections visibly empty. But then, Samsung Galaxy did something unexpected: They began to fight back. They took two games in return, putting the possibility of a reverse-sweep closer to the realm of reality. The crowd fully committed to the Samsung Galaxy hype train. Chants of Sam-sung, Sam-sung echoed throughout Staples Center. And the TSM chants that seem to be universal to any League of Legends event were forgotten by the wayside. If there is a difference between Ambition of the past and now -- back then, I was filled with a lot of confidence, says Ambition. I just kept thinking who would beat me? Just very stubborn. Having that quality might be good if you get good results, but it can have a negative influence when the team does poorly, because its a team game. But despite Ambitions best efforts, Samsung faltered in the final game.Still, the looks on their faces were incredulous. It was sadness, but also inexplicable relief. The rivalry is still there, but Faker and Ambition have something in common this time around, even if theyre standing on opposite ends of the stage: Theyre both survivors of the old vanguard. But while Faker is the undeniable king of SK Telecom T1s reigning dynasty, Ambition remains the stubborn architect remodeling Samsung Galaxys lost empire, brick by brick.
